What is the Real Log Homes® Lay Away Program?
This exciting new program is designed to help log home enthusiasts take the first step toward owning the log home of their dreams. We make the process of saving for a down payment easier and you earn a competitive “interest rate” discount of 5% to be deducted from your total package cost. PLUS you can set-up the program to fit your specific budget with the flexibility to extend your payments for up to 24 months.
Here’s how the Lay Away Program works:
Make a deposit (any amount) on your desired REAL LOG HOMES® log package. We will calculate how much you need to send us each month for a maximum of 24 months to have enough for the standard 10% contract deposit.
When you take delivery of your REAL™ log home, we will credit against your final log package payment a 5% “annualized interest rate” discount on the accumulating balance of your initial deposit plus your monthly payments during the actual payment period (24 months or less).
Here is an example of the REAL™ Lay Away Program for 2010 in action.
John and Linda Jones make a $2,000 deposit on a REAL LOG HOMES® package with an estimated price of $80,000. They will need a total of $8,000 (10% of $80,000) for the standard contract deposit.
Over the next 24 months, John and Linda send in $250 each month (24 X $250 = $6,000) toward their log package. At the end of the 24 months, John and Linda have accumulated the $8,000 deposit amount and enter into a Log Package Order Form-Contract.
When John and Linda make their final Package payment at the time of delivery, the Company credits $522 (5% annualized “interest rate” calculated on the accumulating monthly balance of the payments during the 24 month payment period) against the final Package payment.
